Among the women, Amy May defended her title. Overall, the ladies took 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th Place. (Amy, Jeannine Bardo, Yvonne Kingon, Emily Kindlon, Leanne Elisha). In addition, Lauri Young and Sarah Wenk were 1st and 2nd respectively in the 45-49 age group.
For the men, Nate Horne made his City Coach debut in impressive style, taking 3rd overall, and put up the best bike split of the day. John Williams (5th overall and 1st on the run), Chris Solarz (11th) and Gary Berard (16th), Mordecai Zibkoff and Drew Koncz also raced in red and black for the first time. Geoff Badner (14th overall, 7:01 faster than ’06), Shane Neil (8:03 faster than ’06) and Luc Josaphat (10:17 faster than ’06) each had impressive improvements over last year. Lastly, Luis Figueroa came up big, winning his age group for the first time.
Looks like a total of 4 podium finishes, 5 age group wins, and a total of 11 plaques.
