There are few things that I enjoy more than sharing a happy race report. But sharing two happy race reports qualifies.
Yesterday Jamie Kyei and Adele Laboz raced the Wineglass Marathon, and each, in their own way, had a great race.
Jamie finished in 3:02:08, running a strong, smart race (complete with a negative split) to hold on to second place. To say that I am proud of Jamie for sticking with the plan and racing so well is an understatement. ...Continue Reading →
The City Coach ladies headed east today, and all came home with impressive hardware from the Hamptons.
In the Hamptons Marathon, Deanna Culbreath was the first overall female, in a time of 3:09:00.
Former overall winner Bridget McKenna was 7th overall and 1st in her age group (and our hearts) in the half marathon, clocking 1:32:23.
Lastly, Isang Smith was the winner of the 5k, in a course record 19:09.

Congratulations to the following veteran City Coach athletes on their performance at Sunday’s 5th Avenue Mile:
As impressive as those results are, our most exciting performance of the day came from 9-year old Caroline Wiese. The 5th Avenue Mile was Caroline’s first race, and under NSQ’s tutelage, she finished in a speedy 7:42!
Nicely done team.Continue Reading →

Nicole exited T2 with a three minute deficit, but thanks to a 20:01 split for the 3.3 mile run (that’s 6:03 per mile for those of you keeping score at home), she finished with a three minute cushion and the fastest run split of the day (including the boys).
While Ms. Falcaro ...Continue Reading →
Major congratulations to Nicole Falcaro, who not only made her City Coach debut, but also won her triathlon debut at the Iron Girl Tri in Sandy Hook this weekend. Ms. Falcaro overcame starting in the last wave of a crowded course to secure the victory. Personally, if I had won my first triathlon, I’d have pulled a George Costanza and gone out on a high note, retiring undefeated. Thankfully, Nicole is not the type to shy away from competition, ...Continue Reading →
Great work by the team at the NYC Tri this weekend. Congratulations to all who raced.
