Gary Berard is an RRCA-certified running coach and an elite endurance athlete having competed in countless races. Whether you’re new to running and looking for someone to help you run your first 5K or an experienced runner looking to better your marathon times – you will be in very professional hands with him.
He is a four-time marathoner with a 2:45:45 Boston Marathon personal best, a contributing writer to Runner’s World Magazine, a JackRabbit Sports marathon and triathlon coach (since 2008) and the head running coach at Brownings Fitness in New York and Southampton – where he designs running programs and paces runners one on one. In the past he has been hired to serve as an official pacer by NIKE for many NYC-area races including the NYC Half Marathon and the Hamptons Marathon. Gary has also completed the JackRabbit Sports gait analysis and biomechanic shoe fitting program and is certified in both CPR and basic First Aid.
Gary continues to help lead our JackRabbit NYC Marathon training programs, and is also available for individual sessions and online programming. He has also been involved in both years of the Race Across the Window charity event.
