The team celebrated our Brooklyn roots with a strong showing at today’s Brooklyn Half Marathon. The race has grown to one of the biggest half marathons in the country, and I’m glad that we had such strong representation today. It was great to see old friends back in the fold, new friends on the team, and everyone in-between.

Congratulations to Bonnie Averbuch, who finished 3rd overall with a PR of 1:25:52, and Lauri Young who finished in 2:04:04 at this weekend’s Unite Half Marathon.
The Red Hook Crit 5k was held Saturday night on a flat, fast course, with a pile of cash money for the winner. As such, some heavy hitters came out to play. City Coach was well represented, with Bonnie Averbuch running a PR of 19:08 in the women’s race, and Luke McCambley and Matt Duelka running 16:04 and 17:15 respectively in the men’s race. Congratulations all.

The came, they raced, they ate pancakes. We had a nice showing at today’s Percy Sutton 5k, here in Harlem, USA. We have preliminary race results as well as a few photos to get the party started.
There’s a new women’s City Coach marathon record, and it’s held by Bonnie Averbuch. She just ran a 2:59:40 at the Rotterdam Marathon. Bonnie ran 1:30:45 for the first half, and then negative split it with a 1:28:55 on the back end. It’s wonderful to see all her hard work and discipline paying off.
Congratulations Bonnie. We’re all happy for you and proud of you.
