Over a decade ago, my friend Christopher Bergland and I formed City Coach. I began coaching Christopher in 1989, and he went on to become one of the most accomplished ultra endurance athletes in the world. He won a Triple Ironman three times. He had a top-5 finish at Badwater. He set a world record by running 153.76 miles on a treadmill in 24-hours. And by the way, he’s gay.
