Vertical Challenge v2.0

This year's Vertical Challenge, an urban stair race to benefit Back On My Feet NYC was a big success. Racers did loops of course, which consisted of 0.36 miles including climbing 120 steps. One hour later, the racer with the most laps is the winner.

In the women's race, Sharon Armstrong led for the first several laps with City Coach's Nicole Sin Quee and Rachael Sparks of Back On My Feet right behind. About halfway through, Rachael put some distance on the field, and won with 18 laps. Sharon was close behind (18), and Nicole (17) rounded out the podium.

The men's race broke apart early, with defending champion and multiple world record holder Chris Solarz, and Stephen England side-by-side the whole way, finishing in a dead heat. Obstacle course racer Jesse Liriano was back this year and finished a strong 3rd.
